In my opinion, C. Bechstein grand pianos are premium instruments that are incomparable in terms of sound and touch. Their sound is rich and varied, pure and noble. It can reach the depths of the pianist's soul. Any sound I want to express, I can achieve with it.
Yuan Sheng
After being distinguished with the Artist International's Rubinstein Memorial Award in New York and the subsequent, highly successful debut in the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, Yuan Sheng is among the young Chinese pianists who are regularly invited to the USA. His extensive concert responsibilities also have led Yuan Sheng through Asia to Europe and South america. Born in a music family, Yuan Sheng started piano lessons when he was five years old. Later Yuan Shen studied at the Central Conservatory in Peking with professors Qifang Li, Huili Li and Guangren Yhou. From 1991 to 1997 Yuan Sheng was student of Solomon Mikowsky at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where he earned his Bachelor and Master of Music.
His interest in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach led to intensive studies with Rosalyn Tureck. Following Sheng's US debut, Harris Goldsmith wrote in the „New York Concert Review:" „Herr Sheng is an artist of the highest qualaity," and David Dubal, author of „Reflections from the Keyboard“ noted: „Just listen to him and you will be enthralled and moved."
