Veronika Kopjova, born 1984 in Lithuania, studied at the Music Academy in Vilnius and is currently receiving instruction from Beatrice Berthold in Hanover. Veronika Kopjova is award winner of numerous competitions. Thus, among others she won in 2009 third prize at the international piano competition "Premio Frechillal Zuloaga" in Valladolid (Spain) and received special distinction for the best interpretation of a contemporary work. In 2010 Veronika won first prize at the C. Bechstein Competition for Students in the Piano Classes at the Hanover University of Music and Drama as well as special prize of the Choriner Musiksommer. Veronika Kopjova has held concerts in Austria, Germany, Lapland, Lithuania, Poland and Spain and performed in her home country with the famous Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic. She has given solo recitals at numerous festivals and appeared in many important halls. She is recipient of scholarships from the Lithuanian Culture Ministerium and Yehudi Menuhin Foundation "Live Music Now."
