Senka Brankovic is an Austrian pianist who studied at Salzburg’s Mozarteum and Vienna’s University of Music. A versatile artist, she performs as a soloist, accompanies lieder singers and regularly plays with chamber music ensembles. Senka Brankovic graduated from Salzburg’s Mozarteum and Vienna’s University of Music, where she studied under Hans Leygraf, Hans Petermandl and Heinz Medjimorec. While in Vienna, she also studied lieder accompaniment under David Lutz and attended master courses given by Boris Bloch and Helmut Deutsch. She participated in numerous competitions, including Pörtschach’s International Brahms Contest and Stuttgart’s International Lieder Competition, where she shared a prize with the baritone Alexander Puhrer.
Her career as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist takes her to the world’s greatest concert venues. Due to her talent and passion for music, she is much in demand among renowned artists such as Alban Beikircher (violin), Josef Hell (violin, Vienna Philharmonic), Alexander Puhrer (baritone), Anna Maria Pammer (soprano), KS Gabriele Sima (mezzo soprano) and Tanja Becker-Bender (violin).
Senka Brankovic enjoys combining music and literature, and has worked with acclaimed actors such as Peter Matic, Julia Stemberger and Klaus Jürgen Wussow.
In 2015, her first C. Bechstein recital was dedicated to the pianist Ellen Epstein.
