Rada Pogodaeva, born 1982 in Kazakhstan, won in 1997 at the 19th Republican Competition of Young Artists in Almaty (Kazakhstan) the "Our Hope" prize. In the same year she continued her education at the music university in her home city. She received further distinctions in 1999 at the 20th Republican Competition of Young Artists in Astana (Kazakhstan) and 2000 at the International Piano Competition of Central Asia (Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan). In the same year, she began further study at the Kasachstan National Kurmangasy Conservatory in the piano class with Jania Aubakirova. In 2004 she completed her studies at the Kasachstan National Kurmangasy Conservatory with excellence. In 2005 Rada Pogodaeva took up further study at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf with Christian Beldi. In 2006 she won a prize at the 9th International Music Competition „Pietro Argento“ in Gioia dell Colle (Italy), in 2007 followed the first prize at the 4th International Music Competition „Giuseppe Terrecciano“ in Giffoni Valle Piana Salerno (Italy). In 2008 Rada Pogodaeva played Tschaikowskys' Piano Concerto in B-Minor with the Westphalian Philharmonic and concluded thereby her concert examinations with honors.
