Pierre Mancinelli, born 1976 in South Africa, studied in Paris with Bruno Pietri and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon with highest distinction. Master courses with Lazar Berman and Alexis Weissenberg at Academia Pianistica in Imola (Italy). Prizewinner of great, international competitions like "Arturo-Benedetti Michelangeli" (1996), London World Piano Competition (1997) as well as „Maj lind d’Helsinky“ (2002). Pierre Mancinelli won third prize at the 1st International Carl Bechstein Piano Competition (2006). Pierre Mancinelli has given concerts among others with the Philharmonia Orchestra in the Royal Festival Hall in London, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Finlandia Hall and at festivals such as those by Radio France in Montpellier and Kuhmo in Finland.
