Nadezda Filippova was born in Russia in 1989 and currently lives in Amsterdam. As a soloist and chamber musician, she appreciates the entire spectrum from classical to contemporary music. In particular, she enjoys the challenge of uniting musical opposites, like Debussy and Prokofiev, in her work. At the age of seven she gave her first concert in Russia, followed closely by shows in Europe. Her debut album, entitled Illimité, features works by Claude Debussy and was released in 2017. In the same year, she was selected for the finale at the Dutch Classical Talent competition and went on tour across the Netherlands in the autumn, giving recitals in such venues as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Nadezda Filippova did her master's studies at the Amsterdam University of the Arts under Professor Willem Brons (2015) and at the Berlin University of the Arts under Professor Mi-Joo Lee (2016).
