Pianist Sir Stephen Hough just made his first appearance in Singapore since being knighted in the Queen’s birthday honours of 2022. Titled „Nightscapes“, the programme featured nocturnal musings and wanderings of an artist from night songs to nightmares, including Debussy’s atmospheric „Estampes“, Chopin’s nocturnes, as well as Hough’s own Partita, which he composed in 2019.
One of the most distinctive artists of his generation, Sir Stephen combines a distinguished career as a pianist with those of composer and writer. He has appeared on major worldwide stages from Carnegie Hall in New York, to Royal Festival Hall in London.
We’re very delighted to be back with a C. Bechstein concert grand D 282 on the stage of beautiful Victoria Concert Hall, Singapore’s oldest performing arts venue.
