C. Bechstein Europe obtains ISO 50001 certificate
At a time when sustainability and energy efficiency are becoming increasingly important, it is even more crucial for companies to use natural resources in an environmentally conscious and efficient manner. Implementing an energy management system offers many benefits to companies. For example, energy consumption is continuously monitored and improved, and companies become less dependent on energy imports.
C. Bechstein Europe in the Czech Republic is now ISO 50001 certified for the production of grand and upright pianos. This means that the ISO standard for an energy management system with energy planning processes, energy targets and detailed recording of energy flows has been met. The certificate will help us to continuously reduce and improve the consumption of energy-related services such as water, gas and electricity in our upright and grand piano production, thus significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
To achieve ISO 50001 certification, C. Bechstein Europe's management system had to be analyzed and evaluated to identify weaknesses in the company's energy consumption. Avoidable energy waste was eliminated. The ISO 50001-certified energy management system is audited annually. This way, resource-conserving, energy-efficient production can be ensured in the long term.
