Born in Hong Kong, the pianist Chiyan Wong has captivated listeners with his boldness and vision with a repertoire that ranges from the early Baroque to the 21st century. He began his musical education in Hong Kong and moved to England at the age of twelve where he studied with Norma Fisher at Chethams School of Music and later with Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Chiyan Wong first gained international attention with debuts at festivals such as the Dinard International Music Festival, France, the Hong Kong Arts Festival and the Singapore International Piano Festival, and has also performed in renowned venues such as the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Wigmore Hall and most recently the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Chiyan Wong's debut album for LINN Records (Liszt Transfigured) was awarded the 40th Franz Liszt International Grand Prix du Disque by the Franz Liszt Society in Hungary. For his second album he recorded his version of Bach's Goldberg Variations, based on the edition by Ferruccio Busoni.
