Aurel Dawidiuk plays works by Schubert and Widmann in the first C. Bechstein piano recital of the year at the Konzerthaus Berlin.

Aurel Dawidiuk is considered to be one of the most outstanding and versatile musicians of his generation. As a pianist, organist, harpsichordist and conductor, he performs with numerous famous orchestras. He has won the first prize at numerous music competitions, e.g. the Schumann Competition in Zwickau, The London Organ Competition, the International Young Organist Competition Moscow and the renowned TONALi19 piano competition in Hamburg. He has also won special prizes and scholarships from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the Carl Bechstein Foundation, the Stiftung Jugend Musiziert Niedersachsen and the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund. In 2022, he won the German Music Competition in the organ category, and in 2023 he earned a 1st prize in the conducting category. In 2023, he was awarded with the first prize in the category ‘Conducting from the piano’ as well as two special prizes and the audience prize at the International Hans von Bülow Competition in Meiningen and was honoured with the Neeme Järvi Prize of the Gstaad Conducting Academy and the Ernst von Schuch Conducting Prize. Aurel Dawidiuk has been Associate Conductor at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam since 2024.
