Concert grand pianos in demand all over the world

Carl Bechstein was already selling his instruments the world over and the wonderful C. Bechstein sound was in great demand throughout Europe (including Russia), America and Asia as early as the 19th century. Just like yesterday, C. Bechstein concert grand pianos are sold to academies and concert halls all over the world today.

Most C. Bechstein concert grands are currently exported to Russia, as the brand’s outlets in Moscow and St. Petersburg have numerous orchestras, concert halls and music academies among their clients. Recently, however, several D 282 models have also been heading west: to the stunning Teatro del Bicentenario de  Guanajuato in Mexico or the School of Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Calgary, for instance.

In Germany, C. Bechstein concert grand pianos have been sold to numerous academies and concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Duisburg’s Mercatorhalle. Also worth a mention is the instrument sold to the Konzert Theater in Coesfeld, a small town with a top-class music programme: next year, the performers there will include the Fauré Quartet (featuring the pianist Dirk Mommertz), the twins Ferhan and Ferzan Önder, Kit Armstrong and Martin Helmchen.
