Shin-Heae Kang

Shin-Heae Kang, German pianist of Korean origin, was born in 1987 in Kiel.She receives important artistic impulses by Martha Argerich and is supported very strongly by her.

At the age of two Shin-Heae Kang began playing the piano by ear. She received her first piano lessons at the age of three. At the age of six she was the youngest pre scholar accepted by the University for Music in Luebeck. So she studied at the University for Music in Luebeck and later at the University for Music and Drama in Hanover.

Shin-Heae Kang performed her first concert at the age of five. When she was nine, she gave her first piano concerto with orchestra. This was followed by numerous piano concertos and piano recitals. At the age of 12, she gave her first Philharmonic debut at the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic. She has performed in various cities in Europe and the USA. She also played with various renowned orchestras and was invited by many prestigious festivals for example the "Kissinger Sommer", the Classix-Festival in Brunswick, and the Festival "Progetto Martha Argerich" in Lugano..

Kang was a guest on several radio and television stations in Europe and the USA and recorded four CDs as of this writing. She has received numerous music awards, special awards and scholarships from various institutions. In the summer of 2005 she studied as the youngest ever Fellow of the Wilhelm-Kempff-Foundation all piano sonatas and piano concertos by Beethoven in the special Beethoven course in Positano.
