Andrei Diev

Andrei Diev, born 1958 in Minsk, Belarus, studied at the Tschaikowsky Conservatory in Moscow with Lev Naumov.

1977 winner of the Soviet All-Unions Competition, 1986 first prize at the Tokyo International Competition. Performances with important orchestras such as the USSR State Symphony Orchestra, BBC and Montreal Symphony Orchestra, in famous halls like the Large Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and the Tschaikowsky Hall in Moscow, Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall in London. In 1988, at first as Naumov's assistant, beginning of teaching activity at the Moscow Conservatory. Professor at the International High School, numerous master courses, among others at the Moscow Conservatory and Royal College of Music in London. Jury member and/or jury president at numerous competitions. "It was such a pleasure to play on an absolutely fantastic Bechstein," Andrei Diev exclaimed about his instrument after a piano evening.
