Beatrice Berthold

Beatrice Berthold, born 1964 in Wiesbaden, studied with Renate Kretschmar-Fischer at the Music University in Detmold.

Numerous competition prizes, recordings and TV productions among others for ARD and BBC. Extensive concert activity at home and abroad. Beatrice Berthold has appeared among others with the NDR and WDR Radio Symphony Orchestras, RSO Luxemburg, Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic Lódz as well as important festivals such as the Piano Festival Ruhr and the Luzern Festival. Engagements have additionally led her to Santiago de Chile, Spain, and the USA. She received the prize of German Record Critics for her first CD: "The Young Rachmaninow," further CD recordings for EMI, NAXOS and other labels. Since 1999 Beatrice Berthold is professor of piano at the Hanover University of Music and Drama.
