Kit Armstrong
Kit Armstrong, born 1993, is a remarkable pianist and composer who further exhibits exceptional talents in mathematics, natural science and languages. At the age of 5 he began to study piano and composition and was at 7 the youngest student who ever was accepted at the Chapman University of California on scholarship. Later, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music as well as the Imperial College in London and further received instruction from Alfred Brendel. Since his concert debut at the age of 8, Kit Armstrong has given numerous concerts. In 2009, he played Bach's Piano Concerto in D-Minor with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under Riccardo Chailly in Leipzig and Tokyo.Among recent highlights are a tour with Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under Chailly, as well as performances with the NDR Symphony Orchestra Hamburg, Bamberg Symphony, London Philharmonia Orchestra and many others.
