British pianist Jonathan Plowright performs Bach's Chaconne in D minor BWV 1004 in a transcription by Busoni, the Sonata op 5 by Suk, the Variations sérieuses by Mendelssohn, and the Piano Sonata op 2 by Brahms.

Celebrated by press and audience for his phenomenal technique and musicality, Jonathan Plowright is recognized as an exceptional talent. He was a fellow of the "Fulbright Scholar Program" and holds the gold medal of the Royal Academy of Music. He has been awarded prizes in several competitions including the European Piano Competition. He is an acclaimed soloist on international concert stages for recitals, chamber music and as a guest of leading orchestras. Jonathan Plowright records for Hyperion, BIS et cetera. His release "Hommage à Chopin" won the price of the German Record Critics, the Diapason d'Or and was awarded "Editor's Choice"by the Gramophone Magazine. Plowright is professor for piano at the University of Chichester and at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland. Moreover, he gives master classes and has worked as a juror at international competitions.
