Yorck Kronenberg plays Beethoven and Schubert
In May 2004, as Yorck Kronenberg recorded Beethoven's Opus 111 and Schubert's last sonata in RBB's small recording studio on the C. Bechstein concert grand piano located there, he became linked to the great school of German pianists ranging from Backhaus to Kempff. "A new CD, which for me is one of the most remarkable piano recordings that I have heard recently," Michael Stegemann estimated correctly in SWR_2_Plattenprisma: "Calm and tranquility, breathing and tension, colorful and varied playing--a music of stillness and reversal. ... I think there is still much to be expected of Yorck Kronenberg."
