Trio Panta Rhei sets to music the tale Thadeus Troll
Trio Panta Rhei sets to music the tale Thadeus Troll with three works for piano trio and ten personal arrangements of piano works.
In addition to giving conventional concerts, Trio Panta Rhei also performs for children and records works for the very young. Their musical and narrative CD Thadeus Troll, for example, deals with being different, suffering rejection, the need to adapt and grow, and most of all with true friendship. It was recorded in Düsseldorf with Gudrun Pagel playing the violin, Sonja Asselhoffen on the cello, Julia Vaisberg at the piano and Florian Gehlen narrating. The voice of the C. Bechstein concert grand is particularly rich and colourful in many of the trio’s arrangements, especially Mussorgsky’s Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks, Debussy’s L’Isle joyeuse and Johansson’s Pipi Longstocking.
The CD was recorded on the C. Bechstein D 280 concert grand piano at the concert venue of Düsseldorf’s regional physicians’ association.
