Naoki Sekino plays Liszt, Beethoven, Chopin und Scriabin

After "The World of Franz Liszt", the Japanese pianist Naoki Sekino recently published the album "Fantastik Piano", which contains Liszt's fantasy "Après une lecture de Dante" next to sonatas and fantasies by Beethoven, Chopin and Scriabin.

The graduate of the Budapest Liszt Academy and winner of the Liszt-Garrison Festival is renowned not only as an outstanding interpreter of the Hungarian composer, but also as a virtuoso "Magic Finger".

With the present recording on a C. Bechstein grand piano, Naoki Sekino explores the world of fantasy, from Beethoven´s Moonlight Sonata ("Quasi una Fantasia") to Skriabins late-romantic Piano Sonata No. 2 ("Sonata-Fantasy").
