"Bravo Bechstein!"

1990-1999

With the acquisition of the Saxony Piano Factory and the concentration of production in Seifhennersdorf, a quality initiative begins anew at Bechstein. C. Bechstein's own centers guarantee increasing sales in Germany.

1992

C. Bechstein acquires the Saxony Piano Factory in Seifhennersdorf, Saxony (Germany). Over the following years, this factory, with an investment of over €15 million, becomes one of the most spectacular quality manufacturers of pianos developed worldwide - due to precision obtained by a unique combination of the most modern, computer-controlled tools and traditional craftsmanship.

1996

C. Bechstein is once again transformed into a public company, thus ensuring inter-generational continuity and competitiveness in an increasingly globalized world. Despite its partnerships and alliances, C. Bechstein remains a German company with responsibility for the cultural and social impact of a major brand.

1999

Between 1999 and 2006 C. Bechstein opens representative German selection centers for all models and brands, cultural activities and sales in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover and Tübingen. Another major center for the Benelux countries is formed first in Woerden (Netherlands). With the introduction of the C. Bechstein concert grand piano (designated the D 282 since 2009 after ten years of development and constant improvement) Bechstein begins to develop in the premium sector a new high-profile grand pianos series, which celebrates worldwide success.
